Meet Judy Meneely Our December Resident of the Month!

Judy Meneely

Traditions at Beaumont

Meet Judy Meneely, Traditions' December Resident of the Month! Judy's journey from Athens, Ohio (by way of Huntington, West Virginia) to Traditions at Beaumont has been filled with rich experiences and a strong sense of family ties. Judy and her husband, Tom, have called Traditions at Beaumont home for two months.

"Traditions at Beaumont came highly recommended; they strive to provide a warm and welcoming environment for all their residents," said Judy. "We have found the staff to be incredibly friendly and welcoming.

Judy and Tom have three sons, two ministers, and one is an athletic director at North Carolina. They also have five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Family is very important to Judy and Tom. Judy loves to work on her family's genealogy in her free time.

Before retiring, Judy spent most of her time as an editor for a publishing company. She also embraced her commitment to community service through her roles as the Dean of Women at Cincinnati Bible College and Director of Childrens Ministry for Southeast Christian Church and Hikes Point Christian Church. No wonder two of her three sons chose ministry as a profession!

"Touching the lives of others and building lifelong relationships is so important," says Judy. "I have stayed in contact with many children that have grown up under my tutelage over the years."

When we asked Judy about her favorite activity at Traditions at Beaumont, she didn't hesitate to reply, "We love dining in the restaurant – I love all the different soups offered! I also enjoy all the new friends we have made. Beaumont has so many activities and outings to enjoy."

Socialization and Choices are two of Traditions' Core Values and Traditions at Beaumont strives to offer many opportunities for their residents to make new friends and forge meaningful relationships.

"Leaving our home and moving to Beaumont was a very difficult decision for Tom and me, but we are so happy we made the move! We truly love Traditions!"

"Judy and Tom have become a part of our Traditions family since the day they moved in," said Kim Hieatt, Beaumont's Community Relations Director, "Judy and Tom's journey is a testament to the positive impact that senior living communities like Traditions can have on individuals and families. It's why we do what we do every day."
