Rebekah Nicholas

Executive Director: Rebekah Nicholas

Rebekah graduated from Boyce College in Louisville, Kentucky with a Bachelor of Science in Global Studies. During her time with Traditions, she has loved building genuine relationships with residents. Her goal as Community Relations Director is to reach out to seniors and their families and navigate transitions alongside them, helping them through a life-changing experience.

"There is nothing better than walking through every step of the process with a new resident: from sharing potential struggles living at home or goals in seeking a new way of living, to seeing them take a leap of faith and become part of our community. I have the honor of watching them make new friends, thrive and enjoy life."

Dwayne Delaney

Executive Chef: Dwayne Delaney

Dwayne was born and raised in the Louisville and Lexington areas, but has lived around the country and world. He has his BA in Business Administration and Business Management and training as a US Army Instructor and Advanced Non-commissioned Officer. Dwayne is Serve Safe Certified and has been an instructor with Marriott Contract Services for both the Toque Blanch and Dining with Dignity programs. He has more than 38 years experience working as a Food Service Manager or Executive Chef in restaurants, healthcare, retirement, assisted living and universities.

"I have worked in food service my entire life, except for the four years I spent in the Army on Tanks. It is what I know and love. In 2008, I had a resident and retired Sergeant Major who was dying of cancer. I addressed him as Sergeant Major each day. The last time I saw him, he saluted me and said 'Old soldiers never die, they just fade away.' I returned his salute and said 'See you on Fiddler's Green, Sergeant Major.' It was one of the most meaningful moments of my life. Dwayne has been married to his wife, Cheri for 32 years and has two daughters (Mariah and Nina) and a Shih Tzu, Toby.
